Both honey and jaggery may look like a storehouse of many vitamins and minerals. However, to get any nutritional advantage, these would need to be consumed in large amounts which would ultimately contribute to the overall calorie intake, thereby negating any benefit they intend to offer.
All three sweeteners – sugar, honey, and jaggery – have similar calorific values and thus, should be consumed in the same restricted amounts.
